The Detroit Lions signed cornerback Conroy Black to their practice squad on Tuesday. To make space for Black, the Lions let go practice squad running back Stephfon Green.
Black is a 6'0" undrafted rookie from Utah who played in two preseason games with Oakland. The Lions worked out the rookie -- who possesses 4.38 40-yard dash speed -- as one of 30 players they brought in for observation before the 2012 draft.
Adding Black to the practice squad was the second defensive backfield-related roster move the Lions made Tuesday. Detroit released Kevin Barnes to pick up Jerome Murphy off waivers from the Saints earlier in the day.
