Lions Vs. Titans Score: Punt Return Gives Tennessee Lead After First

Kicker Jason Hanson scored two long field goals in the first quarter, but the Detroit Lions trail the Tennessee Titans 10-6 on the road.

Breaking a 6-3 lead for the Lions, Tennessee tacked on a touchdown with a Tommie Campbell punt return for 65 yards just before the quarter ended.

The Lions needed two short drives to set up the kicks of 47 and 53 yards, the second one being a two-minute long, 19-yard march after Nick Fairley recovered Titans quarterback Jake Locker's fumble near midfield. Tennessee answered after finding itself down 6-0 with a Rob Bironas field goal from 31 yards out with 2:07 to go in the first quarter.

Aside from the fumble, Locker has looked strong thus far, completing 7-of-9 passes for 77 yards. Matt Stafford is 4-of-8 for 30 yards, but the Lions run game has been solid behind Mikel Leshoure's 33 yards on eight carries.
