Lions' Hail Mary Sends Game Vs. Titans Into Overtime

The Tennessee Titans and the Detroit Lions have played a wild game on Sunday afternoon. Fittingly, this one is going to overtime following a miraculous, absolutely unlikely play that gave the Lions a touchdown to tie the game as the clock expired.

After a penalty negated a turnover, backup quarterback Shaun Hill, filling in for an injured Matthew Stafford, threw a touchdown pass to Calvin Johnson with 20 seconds left. Detroit, trailing by seven, went for the onside kick and got it thanks to some quick moves by Amari Spievey.

On second-and-10 from the Titans' 46-yard line, Hill threw it down the field. Tennessee defensive backs tipped the ball up into the air, and Titus Young, who was trailing the play, came in snag the ball out of the air and score the touchdown. Just watch:

A hail mary, a successful one, is exciting enough, but a hail mary that succeeds when it shouldn't is amazing.
