Hours after the Pistons' 109-86 loss to the Celtics, Detroit's Charlie Villanueva went on Twitter and called out Boston's Kevin Garnett. Apparently Garnett was talking trash during the game, which irked Villanueva, who posted this sometime around two in the morning:
↵↵↵KG talks alot of crap, he's prob never been in a fight, I would love to get in a ring with him, I will expose him
↵
Shortly thereafter, Villanueva posted two more tweets about Garnett (they're combined below), detailing what exactly was said that caused him so much anger.
↵↵↵KG called me a cancer patient, I'm pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he's tossing it like it's a joke, I wouldn't even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place 4 those
↵
Villanueva suffers from alopecia, which causes hair loss. That is likely what prompted Garnett's alleged "cancer patient" comment, so you can certainly understand why it set Villanueva off.
↵It will be quite interesting to see what Garnett's reaction is to Villanueva's tweets, if he decides to comment on them at all. It will also be interesting to see what Villanueva has to say and if he backs down at all once he has a chance to cool off. Whatever the case, I'm sure this is only the beginning of what will definitely be an interesting storyline over the next few days.
