NBA Standings: Pistons In Last, But Not Too Far Off Lead

A rough first couple of weeks of the season has put the Detroit Pistons at the bottom of the NBA standings in the Central Division. Currently, the Pistons are tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for last with a record of 2-5.

Although they are in last place right now, the good news is that the Pistons are in what currently appears to be one of the weaker divisions in basketball, at least from top to bottom. Every other division has a team with at least five wins, but in the Central the teams in first (Chicago and Cleveland) have records of 3-3. As a result, the Pistons' slow start has not left them all that far off of first place. They are a couple games back in the loss column, but they are only one victory back in the win column, which is pretty good considering they started 0-5.
