The Detroit Pistons will play a home and away game with the Cleveland Cavaliers for their two preseason games during the lockout-shortened training camp.

The Detroit Pistons will occupy the Palace of Auburn Hills fairly soon as the team announced its preseason schedulefor the lockout-shortened season on Friday. Each NBA team will play a home and away game against a regional opponent, due to the shortened offseason, with Detroit scheduled to play the Cleveland Cavaliers.

NBA training camps are scheduled to open on Friday, Dec. 9, if all goes according to plan and the lockout is officially lifted prior to that date. The team will then practice for one week before hosting the Cavaliers at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The two teams will then meet again just four days later on Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena for a game scheduled to take place at 7 p.m.

The NBA's regular season schedule will be announced next Tuesday, Dec. 6, during a special on NBA TV.
