While Pistons fans and the organization would love to be able to forget their infamous, bust of a No. 2 overall draft pick Darko Milicic's time in Detroit, Milicic can't be too proud of those few failed years, either. After all, he is giving up his lone memento, his 2004 NBA Championship Ring in a raffle drawing for charity:
↵↵↵Join Darko Milicic in his support of The Zorana and Darko Milicic Fund for Children with Life Threatening Diseases and you could win Darko Milicic's 2004 Detroit Pistons NBA Championship Ring and an expense paid trip to see a 2011 NBA Finals Game. The Zorana and Darko Milicic Fund was established in trust with FJC Collective Giving Fund in order to assist children with life threatening diseases.
↵
The coolest prize, though, might be Milicic's 2004 "wrestling style" championship belt, similar to the one seen draped over Rasheed Wallace's shoulder following the Finals. In all, the fair market value of all the prizes included is over $40,000. I'm not sure by how much the autographed Milicic jersey brought the initial price down.
↵The entry deadline for buying the $2 raffles (five maximum) is May 26 at 11 a.m. and the drawing will take place that same day. So, yeah, help out a couple of good causes (the charity and helping The Human Victory Cigar wipe away any lasting evidence of his time in Detroit) and buy some raffles to get yourself some cool, expensive prizes.
