Richard Hamilton led three Detroit Pistons players in scoring over 20 points, netting a team-high 25 to go along with nine assists as the Pistons snapped a four-game slide with a 116-109 shootout win over the New Jersey Nets.
The Pistons survived a game-high 39 points by New Jersey’s Brook Lopez, who led four Nets in double figures.
Greg Monroe grabbed a double-double for Detroit with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Rodney Stuckey played for the first time in three games and scored 22 points. Chris Wilcox added 12 points and five rebounds for the Pistons.
NOTES
-Despite an otherwise terrible season, the Pistons were able to move one game over .500 at home on the year (20-19). Detroit has just seven wins away from the Palace this season; the Pistons’ 7-32 record away from home is fifth worst in the East and six worst in the league. The Nets at 5-33 are fourth worst.
