SB Nation has released its latest 2011 NBA mock draft. With the eighth overall pick, the Detroit Pistons are predicted to select power forward Bismack Biyombo. Biyombo is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and would be a nice complement in the post to Greg Monroe, Detroit's first-round draft pick in 2010.
The write-up for this pick declares this an "easy decision" for Joe Dumars. Why? Well, Dumars saw what an impact an elite defender can have when Ben Wallace was around and in his prime. With Biyombo being a comparable player, he could help build a new era of great defense for the Pistons.
The top five in SB Nation's NBA mock draft is Kyrie Irving, Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter, Jonas Valanciunas and Kemba Walker. Jan Vesely and Brandon Knight are also predicted to be off the board before the Pistons go on the clock with the eighth overall pick.
