Pistons Vs. Hawks Score Update: Detroit Finishes Half Strong To Take 46-35 Lead

The Detroit Pistons did a good job of keeping the high-flying Atlanta Hawks grounded in the first half at the Palace at Auburn Hills, taking advantage of some sloppy play and a strong second quarter to take a 46-35 lead to the break.

After one quarter the Pistons led 17-15 as they struggled with their half-court offense but took advantage of several turnovers to score some easy points. Things finally picked up a little in the second quarter as the Pistons' closed the half with an 11-2 run capped off by a three-point play by Greg Monroe at the buzzer.

Monroe finished the half with nine points and eight rebounds. Brandon Knights also had nine points along with a couple of steals. The Hawks were led by Josh Smith and Marvin Williams with eight points apiece. Tracy mcGrady added seven points off the bench.
