When the Pistons played in Philadelphia earlier this lockout shortened season, they lost 96-73. Tonight, they only lost 95-74. Is that what we mean by the Pistons are making progress? Sound!
The Pistons failure to hit shots doomed them as they were just 35-percent from the field despite outrebounding Philadelphia and winding up with more field goal attempts and free throw attempts. Philly hit nine more shots even though they had five less attempts.
Andre Iguodala had a triple-double for the Sixers on his 28th birthday. He finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. The 76ers were without their big man Spencer Hawes due to an achilles injury.
The Pistons were led by Greg Monroe who finished with another double-double -- 16 points and 10 rebounds, although he was just 6-for-19 shooting.
The Pistons hit the road again for Milwaukee to take on the Bucks on Monday night.
