Pistons Vs. Wizards: Detroit Falls 98-77 To Washington

The Detroit Pistons had put together a fantastic run as of late with four straight wins to drag themselves a bit out of the hole they dug themselves into at the start of the season, but a weak second half showing on Sunday doomed them as they fell to the Washington Wizards, 98-77.

Michigan born JaVale McGee was the big name for the Wizards, putting up not only a fantastic defensive performance but also 22 points and 11 rebounds. Nick Young had 22 points as well for the Wizards as they picked up only their sixth win of the year.

Detroit held the game in their own regard for the first half, leading to a 45-45 halftime score; the Wizards then exploded out of the gate and kept Detroit from scoring more than 18 in either second half quarter. In the fourth, the Pistons were outscored 24-10.

Greg Monroe was a bright spot for the Pistons as usual, getting 27 points to lead all scorers from both teams in the game.
