Rising Stars Challenge: Greg Monroe, Brandon Knight Selected To Team Shaq

The NBA All-Star Rising Stars Challenge is now good to go following the drafts for Team Shaq and Team Chuck on Thursday. Shaq and Charles Barkley, operating as the general managers of the two teams for the Rising Stars challenge, took to drafting from a pool of rookies and sophomores to set the rosters for the game to be part of the All-Star weekend festivities.

For the first round, Shaq seemed to get the better of it all, drafting Blake Griffin, Jeremy Lin and Ricky Rubio with his first three picks. The Detroit Pistons will be represented in the game by Greg Monroe and Brandon Knight, and they both ended up on Team Shaq. Monroe was taken in the fourth round while Knight went to Shaq as part of a draw for the final four players.

Shaq's full roster includes Griffin, Lin, Rubio. Monroe, Knight, Tristan Thompson, Kemba Walker, Landry Fields, Markieff Morris and Norris Cole. Barkley's full roster is Kyrie Irving, DeMarcus Cousins, Paul George, John Wall, Evan Turner, Marshon Brooks, Gordon Hayward, Kawhi Leonard, and Tiago Splitter.
