NBA All-Star Game 2012: Greg Monroe Not Selected As Reserve For Eastern Conference All-Star Team

The reserves for the 2012 NBA All-Star game were announced on Thursday evening minus second-year center Greg Monroe or any other player for the Detroit Pistons.

Monroe figured to have the best chance at a reserve role thanks to his position and the big numbers he has put up to start the season, averaging 16.4 points and 10 rebounds per game. Instead, the coaches chose Indiana's Roy Hibbert who is averaging 13.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, showing that winning plays a factor since Hibbert will be the only player from the 17-8 Pacers.

Here are all of the reserve selections for the All-Star game:

EAST: Joe Johnson G, Deron Williams G, Paul Pierce F, Andre Iguodala F, Chris Bosh F, Luol Deng F, Roy Hibbert F

WEST: Kevin Love F, LaMarcus Aldridge F, Russell Westbrook G, Dirk Nowitzki F, Tony Parker G, Steve Nash G, Marc Gasol C
