Pistons Vs. Hawks: Detroit Wins 86-85 In Spite Of The Turnovers

The Detroit Pistons beat the Atlanta Hawks by a final score of 86-85. This was the second narrow win in a row for the Pistons, who squeaked by the Lakers in overtime on Tuesday.

Greg Monroe continued his torrid pace for Detroit, leading the team with 20 points. He added seven rebounds and two assists in the effort. He did turn the ball over six times. Rodney Stuckey was relatively quiet, scoring just 11 points. Jason Maxwell had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Detroit's margin of victory might not have been as close had it not been for the turnovers. The Pistons turned the ball over 20 times, compared to just eight for Atlanta.

Atlanta had Tracy McGrady back in action on Friday night, but he was limited to just 16 minutes of playing time. He scored zero points. His lone contribution was three assists. Josh Smith led the Hawks with 21 points.

Detroit hosts Toronto on Saturday night.
