Pistons Vs. Heat Preview: Detroit Visits Miami Following Heat's Rare Home Loss

The Pistons head to Miami looking for an upset. Before a loss to the Hawks they'd won five of their last six and three in a row, and Miami's loss to the Grizzlies raises the possibility of an upset.

Presswire

The Pistons play the Miami Heat today, hoping to cause a repeat of the Heat's surprising home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Heat, who had not lost at home since January of this year, trailed the entire game and lost 97-82. The Pistons are also coming off a loss, going down to the Hawks 101-96. Prior to that game they had won three in a row and five of the last six, and they'll have their work cut out for them as they look to return to those winning ways against Miami.

Greg Monroe's production dipped in the game against the Hawks, gaining only eight points after averaging more than 18 during the three game win streak. Rodney Stuckey scored 27 points in that game, and the Pistons will need another performance like that and then some tonight. The Heat are likely to be motivated by their loss, and even including the loss to the Grizzlies they are 23-3 at home, the best in the NBA.
