Pistons Vs. Heat Score Update: Detroit Leads Miami 21-19 After One

The Detroit Pistons, one of the worst road teams in the NBA at just 6-22 away from home, lead the Miami Heat in South Beach 21-19 after one quarter of play on Sunday. The Pistons closed the period on a 9-2 run, and used a pair of free throws from guard Will Bynum to take a two-point advantage into the second quarter.

The Pistons have been able to keep the Heat at bay from the three-point line (0-for-6), while Miami has not done itself any favors by making just one of six attempts from the charity stripe. MVP candidate LeBron James leads all players with eight points, and has also chipped in two rebounds and a block.

For the Pistons, guards Rodney Stuckey (6 points) and Brandon Knight (5 points) have each wasted little time finding the bottom of the net. Big man Greg Monroe has also added six points, two rebounds and one assist, and is 3-for-5 from the field.
