2012 NBA Draft Results: Detroit Pistons Select Kim English With 44th Overall Pick

With the 44th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons selected Kim English, a guard out of Missouri.

English is a 6'6" shooting guard who appears to be a good fit to fill in for the departed Ben Gordon. He showed at Missouri that he is willing to work and do whatever his team needs by filling in at power forward at times for the Tigers in his senior season. English averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in his senior season at Missouri while making 45.9 percent of his three-point attempts.

The pick wraps up the draft for the Pistons, barring a trade, as the team now will send their three draft picks along with other free agents to the Orlando Summer League to get their first taste of NBA work.
