Expectations are very high for the Detroit Red Wings this season. After what was a down year last season by the Wings' standards, they are more motivated than ever and are loaded up with talent as they try to make it back to the Stanley Cup Final. Many in the hockey media believe that Detroit will in fact be one of the two teams left at the end of the season, including TSN, which thinks the Wings will bring home the Stanley Cup.

↵"Everything old is new again," Bob McKenzie said. "Zetterberg and Datsyuk are playing together, Franzen and Filppula are healthy, happy and productive, and maybe it's a last hurrah for Nicklas Lidstrom."

I personally agree with the sentiment, as this team seems like it has all of the pieces in place to make a run at the Cup. If they can stay relatively healthy and play consistent hockey over the course of the season, I think Detroit will win the Western Conference and be in position to win the 12th Stanley Cup in franchise history.
