People have been on the case of Red Wings goalie Chris Osgood basically since he entered the league. Puck Daddy blogger Ryan Lambert decided to bump it up a notch.
↵Lambert recently dedicated a blog post to the "old school" Red Wings and Twitter. There, he quoted Osgood as saying Twitter is stupid and played the whole "Red Wings are old" drum yet again. But later in the article, Lambert decided he hadn't had enough fun with Osgood.
↵↵↵Explains a lot about Osgood though, doesn't it? Really helps you wrap your head around the old mask, the old playing style, and Wings' fans old belief that he's somehow a decent NHL-level goaltender. It has to be at least part of the reason he and Kris Draper keep getting contracts.

Look, Osgood's play last season wasn't great by any means, but why even bother riling up a fan base that does not take kindly to people bashing their team? And what did Draper ever do to you? Have you not learned from Robert Tychkowski, Lambert?
↵Go ahead, keep making fun of Osgood. He doesn't care what the media thinks. In the end, he'll wind up with about 400 more NHL victories than you.
