Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Todd Bertuzzi scored the lone goal in the shootout to give Detroit a 5-4 victory over Calgary at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Bertuzzi went to his backhand to beat Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff, while Detroit's Jimmy Howard stopped all three Calgary shootout chances to seal the win.
Brian Rafalski had two goals, including the game-tying goal in the third period as the Red Wings won their second straight game. Darren Helm had a goal and an assist while Howard finished with 35 saves.
Patrick Eaves scored in his return after missing three games with an elbow injury for Detroit, which has been bitten by the injury bug, the most recent to forward Valtteri Filppula (groin).
Curtis Glencross scored two goals and had an assist for the Flames, who have lost three straight. Jarome Iginla had a goal and an assist, while Anton Babchuck recorded a goal and two helpers.
Kiprusoff finished with 23 saves in the loss.
