Red Wings Schedule: Detroit Hosts Two Division Leaders This Week

The Detroit Red Wings ended their losing streak in a big way Saturday night with a 5-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks. now they will look to keep the turnaround going this week with three home games against fellow Western Conference opponents. It all starts Tuesday night as the Colorado Avalanche come to Joe Louis Arena to renew their rivalry. The 'lanche are sitting in the middle of the Northwest Division with 15 points from 14 games.

The Red Wings will host another Northwest Division team on Friday night as the Edmonton Oilers come to town. The Oilers are leading the Northwest Division with 18 points on 13 games and have the best goals against average (1.5) in the NHL on the young season.

A quick turnaround is in store for Saturday night as the Red Wings close the week at home against the Dallas Stars. The Stars have the best record in the Western Conference with 20 points from 13 games and they have won eight of their last 10 games.
