The Detroit Red Wings are hitting the road this week for a three-game road trip. They're currently duking it out with the Chicago Blackhawks for the lead in the Central Division. They'll be hoping to pick up some points and create a gap between themselves and Chicago, and their weekend opponents may provide an excellent opportunity to do just that.
On Friday, December 2, the Red Wings will play the against Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo holds a 13-10-1 record, and is solidly in the middle of the pack in the Northeast Division in the Eastern Conference. The game begins at 7:30 PM ET and will be televised on NHLN-US and FS-D. The radio broadcast will be on 97.1 FM.
On Sunday, December 4, the Red Wings will visit the Colorado Avalanche, who should present a somewhat less formidable threat. Colorado currently holds a record of 11-13-1 and is in fourth place in the Northwest Division. Sunday's game will begin at 8:00 PM ET and will be televised on FS-D.
