The Detroit Red Wings beat the Nashville Predators 4-1 on Monday night, which means they have a chance to start yet another winning streak when they visit St. Louis to take on the Blues on Tuesday night.

The Red Wings have already put together winning streaks of three games, four games, five games and seven games this season, and now they will try to make it at least two in a row on Tuesday.

The Blues, meanwhile, have won three of their past four games, and they have averaged four goals per game in that span. Right winger Chris Stewart, who has scored three goals in the past three games, is a player for Detroit to keep an eye on.

After Monday night's win, Detroit has 45 points and is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference but also just five points behind the Chicago Blackhawks for first place. This matchup is an important one because the teams are jockeying for playoff positioning, as the Blues are fourth in the Western Conference with 46 points.

St. Louis has won both previous matchups this season, winning 2-1 on Nov. 15 and 3-2 on Dec. 6.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. EST.
