Valtteri Filppula To Miss At Least One Game With Knee Injury

Just as the Red Wings get healthy, another injury strikes.

Forward Valtteri Filppula will miss at least Wednesday's game with Nashville after "tweaking" his knee Monday against the New York Rangers.

↵

Filppula suffered the injury in the third period when New York's Brandon Dubinksy caught him with his knee. Filppula didn't return to the game.

Detroit won't call anyone up to replace him--that is if Tomas Holmstrom returns from his own injury--as it looks like it will only be a short-term deal. Jan Mursak looks like he's out of that equation, so the next best bet would be Tomas Tatar if Holmstrom can't go.
