Red Wings Sign 2009 Draft Pick Adam Almqvist

On Friday, the Detroit Red Wings inked defenseman Adam Almqvist to a three-year entry-level deal. Almqvist was the Red Wings' seventh-round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, and Detroit is hoping he can eventually become yet another late-round steal and great player from Sweden to suit up in the red and white.
