NHL Preseason: Red Wings Fall To Flyers At Home, 3-1

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Jaromir Jagr recorded his first goal in his return to the NHL, and the Philadelphia Flyers posted a 3-1 decision over Detroit in an exhibition contest at Joe Louis Arena.

James van Riemsdyk and Matt Read also tallied for the Flyers, who dropped the opener of the back-to-back contests on Thursday by a 4-3 count.

That contest, ultimately decided in a shootout in London, Ontario, was marred by an unidentified fan throwing a banana in the direction of Philly forward Wayne Simmonds during his shootout attempt.

On Friday, back in a much more civil locale, the clubs combined for 49 penalty minutes. That included two fighting majors and a major for checking from behind and game misconduct to Flyers forward prospect Mike Testwuide.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 22-of-23 shots for the win.

Fabian Brunnstrom recorded the lone tally for the Red Wings, while Jimmy Howard allowed all three goals on 22 shots.
