Jan Mursak Injury: Left Wing Recalled To Detroit

The Detroit Red Wings have been without left wing Jan Mursak all season after he broke his ankle in September, but he will make his return to Joe Louis Arena tonight when Detroit hosts the Phoenix Coyotes. Mursak was called up today from the Grand Rapids Griffins according to the team's official Twitter:

The Red Wings have recalled Jan Mursak from @GriffinsHockey of the American Hockey League.

Mursak is one of the more promising young players for Detroit, playing in 19 games last season with one goal. In 190 career games the Griffins Mursak has 39 goals and 48 assists. The native of Slovakia is expected to be on Detroit's third or fourth line, and was supposed to be a regular player this season before his injury. Mursak is coming off of a very brief six game rehab stint with the Griffins where he had one assist in that time.
