In what could be a preview of what to expect if there is a 24/7: Road to the NHL Winter Classic on HBO featuring the Detroit Red Wings, the NBC Sports Network's NHL 36 is profiling Nicklas Lidstrom. The basis of the show is for a player to be followed by cameras from NHL Original Productions for 36 hours, showing you everything behind the scenes, from team meetings, to things in the locker room and so on. Essentially, this is a mini-version of 24/7 with a focus on one player.↵
The cameras began following Lidstrom on Monday and will continue following him for the Red Wings' game on Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars. Lidstrom actually scored on Monday night against the Buffalo Sabres, so it was good timing on the part of NHL 36. Here's more info on the show:↵
