Red Wings Vs. Predators: Detroit Seeking Road Win At Nashville

Red Wings need to find winning formula on the road.

The Detroit Red Wings continue trying to survive injuries and a late-season swoon and start building some positive momentum with the end of the season suddenly less than a month away.

After finding that familiar winning feeling at home on Friday night with a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings, the Red Wings hit the road on Saturday night to take on the Nashville Predators. The road has been far less kind to Detroit of late as they will try to win just their second game in the last seven road games.

Detroit captain Nicklas Lidstrom and and top scorer Pavel Datsyuk remain sidelined for the Wings. Also, No. 1 goaltender Jimmy Howard will remain out against Nashville with Joey MacDonald looking for another win in goal on back-to-back nights.

Nashville has won three of their last five games including a 4-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. The Predators remain lurking in the standings, six points behind the Red Wings in the Central Division and currently in fifth place overall in the Western Conference.

The game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. ET and be televised on Fox Sports Detroit.
