Following Saturday night's 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators, the Red Wings didn't practice today, but General Manager Ken Holland made a couple moves to coincide with some of the Red Wings laundry list of injury problems. One move was to resend goaltender Jordan Pearce back to Grand Rapids because Holland expects Howard to play on Tuesday:
General manager Ken Holland told the Free Press that goaltender Jimmy Howard, who has missed the past three games with a sore groin, is ready to return Tuesday when the Wings play at Los Angeles, so that eliminates the need for Pearce.
Howard was dealing with a lower body injury, which he suffered shortly after returning from a broken finger.
