Red Wings Vs. Blue Jackets Final Score: Columbus Exacts Revenge On Detroit, 4-2

The Detroit Red Wings' offense came alive on Monday night at the Joe, beating the Blue Jackets' goalies seven times in a rout. Tonight, the Blue Jackets hosted the Wings in the second game of a home-and-home and got their revenge, 4-2, in front of a national audience on NBC Sports Network.

The NHL's worst team jumped out to a two goal lead in the first period behind the sticks of Vinny Prospal (14) and Derek Dorsett (11). Less than two minutes after the Blue Jackets went up a pair, the Red Wings answered on the power play on a goal by Henrik Zetterberg (22), assisted by Pavel Datsyuk (45) and Tomas Holmstrom (12).

But the Blue Jackets all but put the game away in the second period when they scored another pair of goals within two minutes of each other to go up 4-1. The Wings scored the lone goal in the third, again on the power play, but it obviously wasn't enough to overcome the three goal deficit.

The Red Wings maintain a one point advantage for home ice in the playoffs over the Nashville Predators, but the two teams play a big one against each other on Friday in Detroit.
