Red Wings Vs. Blackhawks Score Update: Detroit Enters Final Frame Down, 2-1

The Detroit Red Wings are in a 2-1 deficit against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon. To make matters worse in the game, goaltender Jimmy Howard left the game due to a lower-body injury. Joey MacDonald has stopped seven of eight shots since entering the game.

The Blackhawks struck first with Patrick Sharp's 25th goal, a power play score that came at 3:17 in the opening period. That lead didn't last too long. Three minutes later Niklas Kronwall netted one past Ray Emery for his 14th goal of the season. The two teams played scoreless hockey for most of the second period before Patrick Kane scored at 18:41.

Emery has made 16 saves on 17 shots while Howard allowed just one goal on five shots during his time in net.
