Patrick Eaves Injury: Winger Expected To Be Ready For Next Season

Patrick Eaves, after suffering an injury on a shot to the jaw by Nashville's Roman Josi back in November, was forced to miss quite a bit of playing time even after the jaw had healed in February with post-concussion symptoms. He was forced to miss the rest of the season, up to the playoffs where the Wings were jettisoned in five games by the Nashville Predators.

Fortunately, Eaves looks like he will be ready to play for the Red Wings again by next season as early as September when camps open up.

"He feels pretty good,'' Holland said. "He was doing some skating drills (this past week), starting to work out in the gym.

"We think he'll be ready to roll in September at 100 percent.''

For the Wings, injuries were a huge problem last season so getting everyone back by the time the 2012/2013 season rolls around is a big priority, Eaves included.
