NHL Draft Results: Red Wings Select Andreas Athanasiou With 110th Pick

The Detroit Red Wings' fourth-round pick is in. With the 110th overall selection, the Red Wings picked Andreas Athanasiou, a forward from the London Knights of the OHL. He is the second forward the Red Wings have drafted, as they took right-winger Martin Frk in the second round of the draft earlier on Saturday.

Athanasiou, who is from London, appeared in 63 games for his hometown team last season. He scored 22 goals and had 15 assists for 37 points. A season earlier, he had 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points in 57 games.

The Red Wings have now made three picks so far on the second day of the draft. In addition to Frk and Athanasiou, they also selected goalie Jake Paterson on Saturday.

The Red Wings' next selection is the 140th overall pick of the draft (in the fifth round).
