The Detroit Red Wings haven't made any moves involving free agents on Monday, but they did sign 2011 NHL Draft pick Marek Tvrdon to a three-year entry-level contract, according to Helene St. James.
Tvrdon was the Red Wings' fourth-round pick in 2011. He was selected 115th overall and is now the third draft pick from last year's class to sign with the team. Both Xavier Ouellet and Ryan Sproul signed entry-level contracts back in March, and Tomas Jurco should be signed at some point this summer as well.
Last season, Tvrdon recorded 31 goals and 43 assists for 74 points in 60 games for the WHL's Vancouver Giants. He also recorded three goals and one assist for four points in six games with the Slovakia Under-20 Team.
