Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Rick Porcello pitched eight sold innings, and the Detroit Tigers completed a three-game sweep by beating the Minnesota Twins, 5-1, at Comerica Park.
Porcello (10-11) scattered four hits, one of which was a home run by Delmon Young. Porcello also struck out five and walked one. The young right-hander has won five straight decisions.
Ramon Santiago connected on a three-run homer and Miguel Cabrera added a two- run blast for the Tigers, who concluded the home portion of their 2010 schedule with a 52-29 record. Detroit has won four in a row and eight of nine overall.
Brian Duensing (10-3) gave up five runs on seven hits and walked four in 6 2/3 innings for the AL Central champion Twins.
