Tigers Vs. Yankees: Another Pair Of 1-2-3 Frames Keeps Score Tied After 4 Innings

4th inning live diary updates continue as Magglio Ordonez steps into the box:

9:03 p.m.: Magglio grounds out to Jeter on the 6th pitch of the at bat.

9:05 p.m.: Delmon Young hits a lazy fly ball on the second pitch of the at bat to Nick Swisher in right for the second out of the inning.

9:05 p.m.: Two relatively easy outs and now Miguel Cabrera is coming to the plate. That could mean mistake time, which Cabrera will take full advantage of.

9:06 p.m.: Cabrera swings and misses at ball three on the 2-1 pitch. 2-2.

9:06 p.m.: Cabrera swings and misses at a slider in the dirt for out number three. Another 1-2-3 inning for Nova.

Bottom 4

9:10 p.m.: Fister vs. Swisher. Sounds like a cool match up.

9:11 p.m.: Swisher swinging so hard he might swallow his chew, grounds out to Cabrera at first. Swisher looks like he was getting chatty with someone on the Tigers as he jogged off the field. Perhaps Cabrera?

9:14 p.m.: Fister racks up strikeout number five, getting Posada to swing at a nasty curve in the dirt. Avila completes the out by throwing down to Cabrera.

9:14 p.m.: Russell Martin squares to bunt on the first pitch and Fister’s fastball coincidentally rises up and in. Martin eats dirt.

9:15 p.m.: Fister goes back up and in a couple pitches later, which causes Martin to check his swing and fall backwards into Avila.

9:16 p.m.: Martin likes to check swing like Inge.

9:16 p.m.: On cue, Martin takes a full hack and grounds out to Inge. Another 1-2-3 for Fister, too.
