Tigers Vs. Rangers: Rotations Set For ALCS

Game 1 of the ALCS is Saturday night, and on Friday the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers announced their rotations for the series.

The Tigers are starting things off with Justin Verlander. Because Jim Leyland opted to not let Verlander pitch in Game 5 against the New York Yankees, he is available as the Game 1 starter. Max Scherzer, who did pitch in Game 5 on Thursday, will get the start in Game 2. Originally he was scheduled to go later in the series, but Leyland moved him up and decided to give the start in Game 3 to Doug Fister and the start in Game 4 to Rick Porcello. This allows Scherzer to potentially start twice in the series.

The Rangers are starting C.J. Wilson on Saturday night. Derek Holland will take the hill in Game 2, and Colby Lewis will start in Game 3. Matt Harrison is set to start in Game 4.
