It's been a bad few days for Detroit athletes and car accidents, with the second in just a few days happening on Tuesday morning. Detroit Tigers third baseman Brandon Inge was involved in a six-car accident just west of Ann Arbor on Tuesday, according to the Detroit Free Press. Fortunately, the article notes that nobody was hurt and that no tickets were issued.
At 7:30 in the morning, Inge's car slid through an intersection on a patch of ice, hitting one car heading east, then hit three more cars before going off the road and stopping. The third vehicle that Inge's car hit struck another vehicle - the sixth - after getting bumped. The accident occurred through the intersection at Parker and Scio Church Roads in Freedom Township.
It looks as though everyone is fine, and it happened due to the fact that it's the first day of icy roads. The authorities report that there have been many accidents this morning in the area. Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was involved in a car accident recently, as well.
