Absent from the roster right now are second baseman Carlos Guillen and relief pitcher Joel Zumaya. Both players are on the 15-man disabled list to start the season due to injuries. The hope is they won't miss too much time, but with Guillen and Zumaya you can never be too sure. Also, on an unrelated note, the Tigers outrighted Audy Ciriaco to Double-A Erie on Wednesday. The move cleared a spot on the 40-man roster for Enrique Gonzalez, who had his contract officially purchased yesterday.
