Phil Coke Makes First Start As Tigers Take On Royals In Game Two Of Series

The Tigers and Royals are squaring off in the second game of their series at Comerica Park. The big story on the day is Phil Coke, who is making his first start as a Detroit Tiger.

Coke came out of the bullpen last year and was one of the top setup men in the American League. Last year Coke appeared in 74 games for the Tigers and had a 3.76 ERA with 17 holds and two saves.

The teams are currently starting the bottom of the third inning and the Tigers trail the Royals 2-0. Coke has had control issues so far, issuing three walks. Here’s the two lineups:
