For the second time in the last three days, the Detroit Tigers have had a game postponed. Sunday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals was rained out and pushed back until Sept. 1, and now Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays has also been postponed.
The series finale between the Tigers and Blue Jays will now take place on Monday, June 27. It will begin at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for Tuesday's game will be honored on the new date.
Originally June 27 was set to be an off day in the middle of interleague play. It is in between two series at home, so the Tigers will end up playing seven straight home games to close out June. Overall they will have 10 consecutive games at Comerica Park to end June and begin July. After that they will be on the road for seven straight games before the All-Star break.
