The Tigers have signed third round draft pick Aaron Westlake and 22nd-round pick Tommy Collier to deals.
↵Westlake is a 6-foot-4 first baseman that played college ball at Vanderbilt University. Westlake hit .344 with 54 RBI in his junior season for the Commodores.
↵Collier is a right-handed pitcher that played collegiality at San Jacinto College. He's currently pitching for the Connecticut Tigers who play in the New York-Penn League at the Short Season A level. Detroit has now signed 28 of their 49 draft picks from the 2011 MLB Draft to contracts.
