MLB Playoff Schedule: More Start Times Announced For Tigers Vs. Yankees Series

When the 2011 MLB playoff schedule was first announced, only Game 1 of the Tigers-Yankees series had a start time. The rest of the games in the series had start times that were to be determined. On Thursday, the start times for the next two games in the series were determined and announced. Games 2 and 3 will begin at 8:37 p.m. (ET), the same start time for Game 1.

Here's the updated ALDS schedule for the Tigers vs. Yankees series:

Game 1 - Tigers at Yankees - Friday, Sept. 30, 8:37 p.m. (TBS)

Game 2 - Tigers at Yankees - Saturday, Oct. 1, 8:37 p.m. (TBS)

Game 3 - Yankees at Tigers - Monday, Oct. 3, 8:37 p.m. (TBS)

*Game 4 - Yankees at Tigers - Tuesday, Oct. 4, TBD (TBS)

*Game 5 - Tigers at Yankees - Thursday, Oct. 6, TBD (TBS)

*If necessary

In all likelihood, Games 4 and 5 will be played in primetime if they are necessary. Because the Yankees are involved, it makes sense ratings-wise for this series to be played in primetime on TBS.

By the way, the announcers for this series are Brian Anderson (play-by-play), Ron Darling (analyst) and John Smoltz (analyst). Tom Verducci will serve as the reporter for the series.
