Tigers Spring Training 2012: Detroit Improves To 4-0 With 3-1 Win Vs. Miami Marlins

The Tigers continued their Spring Training schedule on Tuesday afternoon against the Miami Marlins in Jupiter, Florida. Thanks to three runs in the top half of the second inning, they improved to 4-0 on the young Grapefruit League season.

None of the six Tigers pitchers who tossed gave up an earned run. The lone Marlins run was scored off Rick Porcello in the first as a result of a throwing error by Danny Worth. Porcello threw two innings, getting five of his six outs by the way of grounders.

Austin Jackson had two of the Tigers' eight hits and an RBI single.

The Tigers will host the Atlanta Braves in Lakeland again on Wednesday afternoon. Tigers beat the Braves in the first two games of Spring Training by a combined 20-3 score.
