Brandon Inge Will Rejoin Tigers For Chicago Series

Brandon Inge has completed his rehab assignment in Toledo and will rejoin the Tigers in Chicago for the weekend series against the White Sox, according to MLIVE. Inge was placed on the 15-day DL with a groin injury that kept him out of the latter part of Spring Training, which was retroactive to March 30.

In three games with the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate, the two-time Tigers Heart and Hustle Award winner was just 1-for-9 with three walks and a strikeout. He played two games at second base and feels ready to go:

"I had a couple of plays running both ways," Inge said of the game Thursday night. "Once I covered those, there really wasn't anything else (to test). I had a couple plays backwards, and I'm happy where I am right now."

Inge struggled in his Spring Training tryout for the second base job, but it looked like it was his anyway before injuring his groin. Lucky for him, Ryan Raburn has started the season 2-for-19.
