The Detroit Tigers (9-4) and Texas Rangers (11-2) will meet for the second game of a three-game set at Comerica park on Friday night. After winning four straight, the Central Division leading Tigers met a dead end in the form of a 10-3 beatdown at the hands of the Rangers.
Texas currently has the most wins of any other team in the league as well as having the least amount of losses (they have a 4.5 game lead in the West). The team is currently in the midst of a seven-game winning streak where they have outscored their opponents 53-18. They have yet to allow more than three runs in any game over that span.
Rick Porcello is the probable starter for the Tigers. He is currently 1-0 in two starts this season with a 1.84 ERA and eight strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched. Porcello is expected to face Matt Harrison who has won both of his starts this season and possess a 0.64 ERA with seven strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.
