Tigers Vs. Rangers: Detroit Has Arms Ready For Day-Night Doubleheader

After a rain out on Friday night, the Detroit Tigers (9-4) will play two on Saturday when they face the Texas Rangers (11-2) in a day-night doubleheader.

The top two teams in the American League will rely on strong pitching while looking for a sweep on what promises to be tough day for hitters throughout the chilly day at Comerica Park. The first game begins at 1:05 p.m. ET featuring a pitching matchup between two guys who have added depth to their respective pitching rotations.

Texas will start left-hander Matt Harrison who is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, while Detroit counters with right-hander Rick Porcello who has thrown seven innings in both of his starts and is 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA and 0.89 WHIP.

The nightcap is slated for 7:05 p.m. ET with right-hander Neftali Feliz (1-0, 2.25) throwing for Texas against Detroit's number one option, right-hander Justin Verlander (1-1, 2.130).

Both games will be televised on Fox Sports Detroit.
