After giving up eight runs in one inning on Saturday, Rick Porcello takes the mound for the Detroit Tigers on Thursday with a chance to get both himself and his team back on track. The Tigers have lost five of their six games on this current home stand, including their last two to the Seattle Mariners.
The Detroit bats will take aim at Hector Noesi, who has had a poor start to the season. In three starts, Noesi has a 1-2 record and a 9.49 ERA.
The usually light-hitting Mariners have been an offensive force in the first two games of the series. They have put together 16 runs and 30 hits against the Tigers.
First pitch in the series finale is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET today.
